18/05/2026NGANNOU RETURNS AFTER 19 MONTHS AND REMINDS THE WORLD WHO THE PREDATOR IS Nineteen months away from the cage. One round to remind everyone why he is feared. Francis Ngannou made his return to MMA in the early hours of Sunday May 17, 2026 in Los Angeles, and wasted absolutely no time announcing himself. The Cameroonian dismantled Brazilian Philipe Lins by first-round KO in a performance that was as clinical as it was devastating. From the opening exchanges, Ngannou took control. He dragged Lins to the ground and opened up with sharp elbows, before getting back to his feet and pinning his opponent against the cage. Then came the moment that settled it all, a thunderous left hook that sent Lins crashing to the canvas with no way back before the bell. Ngannou himself left no room for interpretation afterwards. "I am the best heavyweight in the world," he declared. "If some people had forgotten my power, they were simply suffering from amnesia." At 39 years old, the former UFC heavyweight champion earned 1.5 million dollars, roughly 900 million FCFA, for the night's work, proving that his value inside the cage remains as massive as the damage he inflicts. The Predator is back. And he is hungry.
